At S.H.E. UK, we are incredibly fortunate to have a team of dedicated volunteers who give their time, compassion and expertise to support survivors. One of those amazing people is Jasmine, who joined us as a volunteer therapist in June 2025.
This September, Jasmine will be taking on an exciting and very personal challenge – running the Bedford Half Marathon to raise funds for S.H.E. UK.
What makes this challenge even more inspiring is that Jasmine only started running a few months ago. Completing a half marathon – an incredible 21.1 kilometres (13.1 miles) – is something she never imagined she would be doing, making this achievement all the more meaningful.
Through her work with our clients, Jasmine has seen first-hand the life-changing impact that specialist support can have on survivors of sexual harm and abuse. She understands how vital it is that people have access to counselling, peer support and education services when they need them most. That’s why she’s lacing up her trainers and pushing herself beyond her comfort zone to help ensure that S.H.E. UK can continue providing these essential services.
In Jasmine’s own words, this challenge is about giving back to the community she supports and helping to ensure that no survivor has to face their journey alone.
Every mile she runs represents hope, resilience and the power of community. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us continue supporting those who need us most.

We are incredibly proud of Jasmine for taking on this challenge and are grateful for her unwavering commitment to survivors and to S.H.E. UK.
Please join us in wishing her the very best as she trains for race day. We can’t wait to see her crossing that finish line – and wearing her S.H.E. UK T-shirt with pride and, hopefully, a well-earned medal around her neck!
Good luck, Jasmine – we’re all behind you every step of the way. 💜
