At S.H.E. UK, we provide specialist support services to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence. As a Trustee, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the charity’s strategic direction, ensuring good governance, and empowering our leadership team to deliver life-changing support to those in need.

You don’t need previous board or governance experience to apply. We provide a full induction and training program, ensuring you’re equipped to succeed. Whether you’re an experienced professional or someone seeking their first Trustee role, your voice and contributions will be valued.
Key Details
- Time Commitment: Meetings are held bi-monthly, lasting 2 hours, with additional time for sub-committee work and occasional events (approximately 1 hour per week).
- In-Person Attendance: We aim to meet face-to-face once a year. These in-person sessions are held in the Mansfield area.
- Location: Hybrid meetings (remote via Teams and occasional in-person meetings in Mansfield).
- Term: Initially appointed for a three-year term, with opportunities to renew up to a maximum of nine years.
- Accessibility: We welcome diverse applicants and can provide alternative formats or accommodations as needed.

Survivors of sexual abuse, who are not current or former service users of S.H.E. UK, are especially encouraged to apply.
We are looking to recruit general Trustees, but in particular also for people who are interested in a Treasurer role, or in becoming a Safeguarding lead.
