S.H.E. UK: New Grants Helping Us Move Forward

At S.H.E. UK, we know that every grant, donation and act of support helps keep our services running for survivors of childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence. We are very pleased to share some recent successes – and to thank our supporters for believing in what we do.

🎉 Some Excellent Grant News

We are delighted to confirm that we have recently been awarded a grant of £37,500 over three years (unrestricted) from People’s Places Postcode Lottery. This unrestricted funding gives us vital flexibility, helping with operational development, core costs and giving us the freedom to respond where the need is greatest.

We have also secured £7,500 from Jones Trust, which is will support our Therapy service.

In addition, we received a smaller but very practical grant of £1,000 from Mansfield Building Society which has allowed us to purchase a defibrillator for our office. Thanks to this, and with the support of local firm Defib4life, who gave us a very good deal, the defibrillator has now arrived at our office. This important step helps us ensure greater safety and preparedness for our staff, volunteers and clients.

Why This Matters

These grants are more than just numbers, they represent stability, growth and the ability to respond effectively to survivors’ needs. The unrestricted funding from the People’s Postcode Lottery is especially valuable because it allows us flexibility in how we allocate resources, helping with core operational costs during a time when demand for our services remains high.

The support from the Jones Trust strengthens our financial base to provide therapy and enables us to plan with more confidence for the coming months.. Meanwhile, the defibrillator grant is a reminder that even modest funding can make a big difference, improving the safety and wellbeing of everyone associated with S.H.E. UK.

Deep Thanks to Our Supporters

We are deeply grateful to the People’s Postcode Lottery, Jones Trust and Mansfield Building Society, and for the assistance of Defib4life. Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us build a foundation for ongoing support. Every grant plays a crucial role in enabling us to continue our work: offering therapy, support and a safe space for adult survivors.

We remain committed to using these funds responsibly and effectively, stretching every pound to deliver the best possible support and make a real difference in people’s lives.
