SHE-roes Lounge & Support Sessions

The aim of these sessions is to encourage people to informally support one another and socialise in a safe environment. We hope to achieve this by offering different activities such as providing library and video resources, offering various craft workshops, or simply meeting others for tea or coffee on a regular weekly basis.

We want people who attend the Lounge sessions to increase their confidence and self esteem, to meet new friends and develop better social skills, and to find people who provide mutual support. You’ll be supported to set goals and learn about healthy coping strategies. This is your launching platform to access training and education as well as volunteering opportunities and employment.

You’ll have access to a key worker and a peer mentor—we’re all about empowering you in every way possible.

(Key workers are a staff member allocated to you that supports you with goal setting and achieving and can sign post you to relevant organisations that you may need access to. Your key worker will be with you for the duration of your healing journey with us).

(Peer mentors are service users who have accessed our services for more than six months. A peer mentor helps to make you welcome and supports you to gain the confidence to access the lounge service).
